We are busy clearing up the garden for DAW 2014. I will be opening my studio and displaying my sculptures in the garden. And I will be working on one of my sculptures in the front garden. So if you are interested, I will be answering any questions regarding stonecarving.
Lost Art by Jennifer Mundy
I am working on a new group of sculptures called: Skills learned from my mother. I don’t even remember learning to sew, but I know I learned to knit when I was 4. And after that I was allowed to go to needlework classes in the little local school, although the school age in Germany doesn’t start until you are 6. I remember it all vividly.
Been sorting out some photos and found this one of me working at the European Stone Festival in Lincoln, June 2013. One of my highlights last year.
3 of my sculptures can now be seen at the
StoneWorks Gallery, 137b, High Street, Swanage, BH19 2NB, UK:
"Our Life is like the Grass", "Heart and Soul" and "Contented Cat"
'The Heart that fed' exhibition at the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester is now finished. But my sculpture ‘In the Hollow of your Hands’ has now found a permanent home at the Museum www.dorsetcountymuseum.org
